What's the difference between a swim spa and a plunge pool?
A swim spa bath has hydrotherapy as well as swimming jets, so it’s a combination of a spa and a plunge pool.
Our Australian plunge pools are similar to a swimming pool, but have added benefits like heating and cooling, our dreamtime lighting and our unique river flow swim jets. River flow swim jets are designed to minimize white water, which makes the experience as though you are swimming upstream in a natural environment.
Are plunge pools good for exercising?
Yes, our large and small plunge pools are excellent for exercising in, whether you are a beginner or a pro.
Our River Flow Swim Jets provide a current to swim against and our swim pole helps you to float on top of the water and not swim to one side, which can happen if you have a varied stroke.
Exercising in water has many proven benefits, particularly that it is low impact, helps improve cardio vascular health, build strength and provide stress relief.
Is a plunge pool easy to install?
Yes, this type of pool is very easy to install compared to a traditional inground spa bath or pool, and also, much faster.
The main considerations you will need to think about are; access to the site where you would like it to go, ensuring that you have a suitable foundation that is flat and can bear the weight of the full pool, plus the people in it, and also that you have the correct electrical connection installed by a qualified electrician.
Once these three things are organized, it’s as simple as delivery and connection – then you are ready to go!
